60 Day Freeze on Medicare Physician Reimbursement Payment Rates
President Obama signed the FY 2010 Defense Appropriations bill into law this afternoon. Thus, the scheduled 21.2 percent cut to physician reimbursement has been delayed for 60 days. Due to the language of the law, only the conversion factor is affected. All other policy changes to the Medicare program will become effective January 1, 2010.
