CMS - 2010 Information on the Conversion Factor and Claims Processing
2010 Policy changes to the Medicare program take effect January 1, 2010 with the exception of the Medicare conversion factor that has been frozen for 60 days. Note the ALL Part B claims will be held until January 15, 2010. CMS has instructed contractors to begin processing claims at the new rates no later than January 19, 2010. The Physician Annual Participation Enrollment Program will be extended until March 17, 2010.
