American Medical Association (AMA) Selects our Ingenix CareTracker Solution
Most practices are ignoring the fact that ICD-10 is coming. You can go to www.ama-assn.org/amednews and see the January 11, 2010 article; ICD-10 deadline causing worry, even 3 years away. MGMA estimates that the average costs for a three physician practice to switch to ICD-10 will be $84,000. Many “Legacy Practice Systems” that are owned by physicians will not be able to make the change without significant upgrades, whose costs will surely be charged to the physician practice. DBS has posted a “White Paper” on our site to provide guidance to practices in preparing for ICD-10. The AMA states that it will be reaching out to organizations like the HBMA, of which DBS is a member, to assist with this transition. In addition, the AMA has chosen the Ingenix CareTracker software offered by DBS, and used for DBS RCM clients, as the AMA’s “Preferred PM & EHR Software”. Contact us today for more information on how DBS can work with you to meet this coming challenge to your survival. You may view the AMA press release in the Medbizonics Document Library.
